Located just over 25 miles southwest of Las Vegas in Boulder City. This city has a population of under 20,000 residents and is one of the two cities in Nevada that discourages gambling and casinos. HISTORY
Boulder City was originally populated by workers who came to the area to build the Hoover Dam and needed to live close to the worksite. The government was the first to build housing for these workers who were living by the Colorado River in makeshift tents. Construction of homes didn’t start till the year after construction started on the Hoover Dam.
